Shakespeare in Schools

Our mission is to educate, entertain, and enrich our community.  No place is that mission more real than in our Shakespeare in Schools program, presented in conjunction with the Florida Keys Council of the Arts Artist in Schools program.  Our band of merry performers traveled to schools throughout Monroe County school district and presented a Pop Up performance from a Shakespeare play. This year's play was Romeo & Juliet (in under 35 minutes).  This year we visited Marathon Middle & High School, Treasure Village Montessori, Key Largo School, Key West High School, and Sigsbee School.
This program is funded, in part, by  the Florida Keys Council of the Arts, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and private donations.
